3D Commercial are seeking a Health & Safety (OHS) Coordinator to join an established construction business in their EHSQ Team. You will join a leading commercial & industrial builder with projects based across Melbourne.

PROJECTS
New Build Construction Projects ranging in value from $20m - $100m. Multiple trades on each site, with new risks on each project to manage.
YOU
Aside from being an ambitious and driven individual, having the below is a requirement of the role;
- Relevant OHS qualifications: Degree/Diploma/Certifiate 4 in OHS, with a willingness to pursue further education; Environmental qualification is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in construction or heavy industry within Australia (e.g. rail, mining, infrastructure etc.).
- Knowledge of Australian Safety standards and Codes of Practice
- Strong understanding of HSE management systems, legislation, and best practices.
- In-depth knowledge of organizational safety and safety culture.
- Ability to engage and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with advanced HSE software and high-level document management skills.
THE ROLE
- Maintain a learning mindset towards health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices, assisting in audits, inspections, and ensuring adherence to changing regulatory requirements.
- Provide support to management, project teams, and contractors regarding safety and environmental responsibilities, including preparing, reviewing, and maintaining safety and environmental documentation.
- Contribute to the enhancement of employee HSE training by participating in the development and delivery of internal programs, and managing the booking process with external training providers.
- Assist in the reporting and resolution of workplace incidents, including follow-up on corrective actions and verification of their effectiveness.
- Support project teams and contractors to maximize their engagement with our HSE software platforms (i.e. Hammertech).
- Participate in risk management practices and ensure quality management through records and document management related to health, safety, and environmental matters.
- Develop client-specific HSE documentation (i.e., SWMS) to support the Defects Manager and post-completion teams to meet and exceed client expectations.
- Forecast essential project HSE supplies such as signage, safety equipment, and HSE requirements to ensure project teams are fully equipped to deliver on their responsibilities.
- Assist in the review of essential data, reports, and records to ensure the buisness is meeting the obligations of their ISO 45001, 14001, and 9001 accreditations, and contribute to the development of strategies to address any identified weaknesses.
